He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Francina; his children, Jim Hoeksema, Michelle, Albert Smouter, Ryan VanVeen, Bruce, Kaitlyn Hoeksema, Natasha, Dan Hulzebosch, Justin VanVeen, Dana, Tim Knegt, Russell VanVeen, John, Nicoline, James and Sonja; his siblings, Jerry (Ria), Jake Heeringa (Karen) and Tilly (Werder); and his siblings-in-law, Grace, George Lodder, Ted, Audrey Hart, Bill, Marion, Hart, Irene and Art Flach.
