He was predeceased by: his brothers, Artistides, Manuel, Jorge and Januario. He is survived by: his wife Teresinha (Botelho); his children, Maria Fatima (Werner), Joe (Joannie), Lucy (Steve) and Sandy (Mark); and his sisters, Maria Augusta and Maria De Deus.
