He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Hepburn and Mary Hepburn (Anderson); his wife Elizabeth Hepburn; and his daughter Lynn Roddick. He is survived by: his children, Douglas Hepburn (Wendy) and Alison (Josip Evic); his grandchildren, Mike McGrath (Virgina Hall), Jamie McGrath, Robert Hepburn, Susan Hepburn, Devlin McAulay, Hannah (Connery Barney), Sarah McAulay (Greg Pilles) and Kenneth McAulay; and his great grandchildren, Rosalinda McAulay-Rutter (Rosie), Sully McGrath (Sullivan), McKenna Dickey and Indigo Barney.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Burlington Lawn Bowling Club in his name.
