He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Fatmeh; his children, Hossein, Parvaneh, Parvin, Manu, Mitra, Afshin and Nushin; his daughter-in-law Mahnaz (Ladan); his grandchildren, Shahram, Shahrokh, Shaheen, Aty, Sarah, Adam, Tara, Cryus, Omead, Deeba, Darius and Sophia; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Mehdi, Mehry, Pari and Shohreh.

His battle with Alzheimer's began five years ago.
