He was predeceased by: his niece Sarah McAlister; and his parents, George Cronkite and Muriel Cronkite. He is survived by: his sister Linda McAlister (Albert); his nieces and nephews, Beth Stapleton (Dave), Paula Chorpitta (Paul), Jamie McAlister (Laura) and Megan Gecas; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kasem, Willow, Dayton, Gage, Jasmine, Bennett, Will, Owen and Violet.
