He was predeceased by: his parents, James Deitner and Cecelia Deitner; his parents-in-law, Alex and Clara Graf; his son Alan Francis Deitner; his sister Margaret; his brother-in-law Louis Phelan; his sister Kathleen; and his siblings-in-law, John McFadden, George Blake, Bob Kraemer, Margaret Graf, Sr., Barbara Graf, Mary Taziar, Joe Taziar and Willie Graf.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Deitner (Graf); his children, Brian, Candace Deitner (Brussels), Cathy, Jean-Marc Beneteau of Belle River, ON, Kevin and Alicia Deitner (Brussels); his grandchildren, Kiley, Jonas Whytock, Trista, Devon MacDonald, Julie Beneteau, Paul, Amy Beneteau, Marc Beneteau, Tyler, Jessica Deitner, Morgan, Remi Zoccolante, Tiffany and Bryce Fletcher; his sisters, Marie Blake and Nora Kraemer; and his in-laws, Madeleine Graf, Irene and Joe Sergi. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A prayer was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Riverside Funeral Home - Brussels (401 Albert St, Brussels, ON N0G1H0). Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Ambrose Catholic Church (17 Flora St, Brussels, ON N0G1H0).
