He was predeceased by: his siblings, Dorothy Bender and Wesley Gerber (Eleanore); his wife Doreen Gerber (Steckly); his parents, Moses Gerber and Rachel Gerber (Jantzi); and his parents-in-law, Alice Leis (Clarence), Willis Bender, Marion Schwartzentruber (Irvin), Morris Gerber (Joyce), Kathleen Gerber, Esther Gerber, Stanley Steckly, Jim Mullet, Levi Kuepfer, Mike Sabo, Norman Steckly and Ed Erb.
He is survived by: his children, Carolyn Heyer (Douglas) of New Hamburg, Dennis, Joanne, Brunner, Susan, Larry Roes of Wellesley, Brenda, Rob Leis and Newton; his grandchildren, Shawna (Michael), Jeremy, Michelle (Stephen), Josh (Erin), Ben (Marieve), Luke (Hanne), Sam, Daniel (Jessica), Natalie (Michael), Kelsey (Kait), Corey, Stacey (Brad) and Brooklynn (Jamie); his great grandchildren, Chantal, Isabelle (Ben), Trenton, Morgan, Addyson, William, Elliot and Hannah; and his siblings-in-law, Doris Steckly, Isabel Mullet, Elsie Martin (Laverne), Nancy Sabo, Marlene Steckly, Marjorie Herrfort (Stan), Joanne Gerber (Ralph), Ron Steckly (Linda), Marilyn Clelland (Mike) and Robert Steckly (Cheryl). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
