He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar McDougall and Rose McDougall; and his siblings, Mary Raphael and James "Jimmy" McDougall. He is survived by: his close friend Janet Sutcliffe; his daughters, Jaime McDougall and Allie Lawlor; his son-in-law Cody Lawlor; the mother of his children Kelly McDougall; and his siblings, JoAnne Fournell, Bob McDougall (Lupe), Louise Hunter (Ron), Helen McCartney, David McDougall (Donna), John McDougall (Terry) and Gerry Tutecky-McDougall (Dawn). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
