He was predeceased by: his parents, Pearl Westlake and Cecil Westlake; his siblings, Bill, Bob and Marilyn; and his sister-in-law Donna Hinton.

He is survived by: his wife Joanne Sparrow Westlake; his children, Lisa Westlake, Kara-Lee Westlake (Leondro) and Chadwick Westlake (Kim); his grandchildren, Jakob, Ellie, Tea, Issac, Mateo, Reagan, Harrison, Kyomi Grace and Kalila Rose; his sister Christine; and his brother-in-law John Tappenden. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
