Robert Herbert Garand Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Herbert Garand (Brockville, Ontario), who passed away on April 2, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Garand and Doreen Garand; his sister Betty Raucher (late John); and his daughters, Debbie Patterson (Merwin) and Marriner (late Glen) of South Mountain.
He is survived by: his wife Gwen; his children, Derek Garand of Brockville, Daphne Gobeil (Geoff) of Pittson and Dionne Garand of Brockville; his stepdaughter Jennifer Overend (Jason) of North Vancouver; and his stepgranddaughters, Makenna and Cadence Overend of North Vancouver. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
For those wishing, donations may be made to the Ontario SPCA, the Ottawa Valley Wild Bird Care Centre or please plant a tree in Bob's name, and these remembrances will be gratefully acknowledged.
