He was predeceased by: his parents, John Laker and Marie Laker (Giraldeau); and his sister Linda Thompson. He is survived by: his brother-in-law Donald G. Thompson; his nieces, Susan Shanks (Duncan), Judy Lajoie (Robert) and Sharon Giroux (Paul); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kirsti, Emma, Nicole, Allison, Matthieu, Jenna, Will, Gavin and Lauren.
