He was predeceased by: his parents, Willem and Rita (Spetter); and his sister Donna Desjardins. He is survived by: his sons, Jeff (Crystal) and Jarrod (Karen); his grandchildren, Zachary, Paige, Russell and Owen; his siblings, Ellen Thorvardson (Barry), Maurice (Patty), Rita Earl (Andrew), Linda Deluitis (John) and Rob (Julie Simpson); and his close friend Lynne Candlish.

In memory of Pieter donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
