He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Jong; his children, Cindy Byker (Bill) of Brinston, Elaine Leeder (Brian) of Sunbury, Jarrod De Jong (Kim) of Redan and Carl De Jong (Wendy) of Brockville; his grandchildren, Natalie Luimes (Shawn), Holly Byker, Tracy Poirier (Christopher), William Byker, Megan Leeder (Zach Spiler), Devin Leeder, Katy Leeder (Kevin Trites), Laura, Matthew, Brandon, Ashley De Jong, Ben, Jamie, Grace De Jong and Sierra Kelsey; his great grandchildren, Eli Luimes, Aubree Luimes and Peter Poirier; his parent Ynskje Dykstra; his siblings, Frank De Jong (Dorothy) and Barry De Jong (late Roger Westall); his siblings-in-law, Dick Van Spriel (Rita), Ed Van Spriel, Cathy De Jong, Lois Leach (Bill), Barb Kelsey, Carol, Shirley, Doreen MacMillan, Joe MacMillan (Lee) and Gib Johnston; and also Corrie De Jong (Van Spriel). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
