He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bowen and Amber Bowen (Wallace); and his parents-in-law, Lloyd and Evelyn Earl. He is survived by: his spouse Gert Bowen (Earl); his daughters, Tina (John Illingworth) and Ann (Glen Markell); his sister Barbara Smith (Ron); and his sisters-in-law, Jackie Mercier (Doug) and Jo-Anne Bates. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Brockville and District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care or the Shriners Hospital would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
