She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Bill Connell; her children, Stephen (Rose Simones), Scott (Debbie), Sherry and Kevin Connell (Karen); her grandchildren, Stephanie (Shane), Jeffery (Kaleigh), Kathryn (Tim), Eric (Elias), Ashley (Matt), Holly, Jordie (Meaghan), Jamie (Kelsey), Natalie (Kyle), Garrett (Maddy), Taylor (Kyle), Grace and Richard; her siblings, Pat Slate and Bruce Lavery (Beverly); her sisters-in-law, Beverly and Marilyn Lavery; her parents, Kenneth Lavery and Evelyn Lavery (Boulton); her brothers, Ron, Garnett, Jerry, Russell and Ken (Marion); and her brother-in-law Don Slate. She was also cherished by many in laws, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Barclay Funeral Home - Brockville (137 Pearl St E, Brockville, ON K6V1R2). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In memory of Doris, donations to Maynard United Church or the Arthritis Society Canada would be appreciated by the family.
