He was predeceased by: his son Derek Kirkby; and his parents, Bernard Kirkby and Nancy Kirkby (Murdock). He is survived by: his wife Vicky Kirkby (MacDonald); his child Kelly Poapst (Steve) of Chicago; his grandchildren, Braden Poapst (Randall Galbreath), Mara Temesvary (Brandon), Cameron and Rylie Kirkby; and his siblings, Brenda Barton (late Fraser), Barry Kirkby (Carol) and Bernie Kirkby. He is also survived by many sister and brother in-laws, nieces and nephews.
