He was predeceased by: his parents, Lila Irene and George Wilbert Brown; his children, Lisa (Fred Kommer) and Lance; and his brothers, Robert and Jim.

He is survived by: his wife Emma Brown; his child Laurie Desjardins (Doug); his stepparent Dana Clare (Matt); and his stepchildren, Nick Kochenash (Ella), Candace Morgan, Sherry Wallace (Dan) and Gregory. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
