He was predeceased by: his parents, William Semple and Myrtle (Lumley); and his grandchild Parker McLaughlin. He is survived by: his wife Elaine (Kemp); his children, Jeff Semple (Amanda Everett) and Audrey McLaughlin (Richard); his granddaughters, Charlie Semple, Richelle and Raylyn McLaughlin; his siblings, Frank Semple (Debbie), Elwood Semple (Teresa) and Lyla Gohen (John); and his sister-in-law Linda Semple. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Leo's Life will be held at a later date due to the Covid 19 restrictions.
