She was predeceased by: her parents, Evelyn "Joy" and Leonard Giles; her stepfather Garret Schut; her sister Sue Spurgeon; and her friend Lucy Fladby.
She is survived by: her child Garret Schut (Sarah); her siblings, Marlene Sharpe (Frank), Kathy Schut, Danno Schut and Kevin Schut (Danielle); and her sibling-in-law Howard Spurgeon.
