He is survived by: his spouse Joan Ryan; his children, Terry Smith, Martin MacDonald (Gwen), Loretta Monkman (Terry), Hector MacDonald (Geraldine), Frank MacDonald (Teresa) and Gail MacDonald (Lynn); and his siblings, Elizabeth, Daniel, Loretta, Frank and Neil. He is also survived by 35 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren.
