She was predeceased by: her husband Grant Wright Johnson; her son Mark; and her brothers, Glen and Loren Giles. She is survived by: her children, Debbie Murray and Tracey Johnson (Ferdie Barnett); her children-in-law, Linda Woodman and Ed Murray; her grandchildren, Ashley Scott, Patty (Darren), Justin, Danielle and Brianne; her great grandchildren, Jacob, Matthew and Abby; her friends, Joe, Lois Carrier, Esther Johnson and Elsie; and her pets, Ginger and Smokey. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Donations in memory of Shirley can be made to the Brant SPCA or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
