He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Garrison; his siblings, Beverly Malcolm and Ralph Garrison; and his parents, Russel "Sidney" Garrison and Muriel Louise Rhodes.
He is survived by: his children, Christine (Ron Trembley) and Michael; his grandchildren, Tyler Garrison and Tiffany (Jarrett Hutton); his great grandchildren, Sadie and Jamieson; and his sibling Margurite Lathi.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada.
