He was predeceased by: his parents, Marjorie McNaught and Cyril Vipond; his brother Murray Vipond; and his parents-in-law, Ethel and Jim Webber.

He is survived by: his wife Carol (Webber); his sister-in-law Betty Vipond; his brother Rick; his sister-in-law Ulrike Webber; and his brother Bill Vipond. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and countless dear friends.
