He was predeceased by: his wife Frances Eleanor (Falconer); his parents, Florence Tachauer (Streeter) and David Henry Tachauer; and his siblings, Marie, Rita, Yvonne, Edwin, Leon, Eugene, Stanley, Charles and Leslie.

He is survived by: his sons, Philip A. Tachauer (Krista) and Douglas Tachauer (Kimberley); his grandchildren, Cameron Tachauer (Andrea) and Steven Tachauer (Greg); his great grandchild Callum Tachauer; and his brother Jacques. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
