He was predeceased by: his father Leo Janes. He is survived by: his wife Tara Janes; his children, Lorelei and Everett; his mother Sylvia; and his brothers, Gary (Dawne) and Richard Janes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Donations in Mark's memory can be made to the Stedman Hospice or to Juravinski, Cancer Centre.
