He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his children, Steve Szak (Tia), Greg Szak (Zoe), Sharon Swysgood (Mark) and Cheryl Smith; his grandchildren, Sarah, Evan, Dustin, Jennifer, Andrew and Matthew; his great grandchildren, Gabe, Grayson, Theo and Suri; his grandchild Ollie; and his siblings, Paul (Cathy) and Annie. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and close friends.
