He was predeceased by: his wife Lauretta Nelson; his parents, Richard Nelson and Zella Nelson; and his siblings, Reg, Jack, Everett, Ed, William, James and Ruth Ann.
He is survived by: his children, Nancy Houle (Greg), Rodney Nelson (Sherrill), Linda Campbell (late Wayne), Carl Nelson (Susan) and Shelley Mordue (Daryl); his grandchildren, Richard, Emily, Lisa, Sarah, Alex, Sam, Charles, Cassandra and Nicole; and his siblings, Russell and Nellie Caughill. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
