He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Bowen and Alan Towers; his siblings, Marcia (George) and Ted (Jean); and his half-brothers, Alan Warren (Sally), Gail, Linda, Wayne and Greg Bowen.

He is survived by: his wife Jean; his sons, Doug (Brenda) and Ted (Violet); his grandchildren, Tammy (John), Shane (Elisha) and Ashley (Chris); his great grandchildren, Dakota, Jarrett and Bronwynn; and his brother Wes (late Pat). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
