He was predeceased by: his brothers, Bill (Marian) and John (late Josefine). He is survived by: his wife Marian Van Nieuwenhuizen; his children, Terry and Kim (Jim); his grandchildren, Kayla (Jason), Logan (Kayla), Nick, Ashley (Kyle), Christina and Brittany (Jason); his great grandchildren, Hailey and Lucy; his granddaughter Georgia; his stepsons, Mike (Trisha) and Greg (Jennifer); and also, Bert (Jenny), Jenny (John), Marius (Rose), Betty (Wayne), Gerry (Dani) and Lysje (Albert).
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bethel Reformed Church (506 West St, Brantford, ON N3R3W7). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Joseph's Lifecare Foundation, Bethel Reformed Church, Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
