He was predeceased by: his wife Audrey Beatrice Vaughan; his daughter Shirley Surgeoner; and his siblings, Joseph Vaughan and Evelyn Strong. He is survived by: his son-in-law Gordon Surgeoner (Shirley); his children, Brae (Luke), Drew (Jennifer) and Jade (Ben); his grandchildren, Aspen, Lily and Rilen; his children, Gary (Patsy), Aaron (Angie), Amber (Kevin), Brandon (Marcy) and Brandi (Steve); his grandchildren, Keigan, Brady, Kayson and Georgia; his son Lary (Carrie); his grandchildren, Shannon (Fonzie), Austin, Kaiden, Carter, Carson, Fred Todd and Leo Schiappa; his friend Norma McMinn; and his pet Spike.
