He was predeceased by: his father Edward Richardson. He is survived by: his mother Gertrude Williamson; his wife Susan Lewis; his children, Laura and Edward; his siblings, Robert Richardson (Trina) and Bridget Olsen; and his nephews, Andrew and Nicholas.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Dana's honour.
