He was predeceased by: his child Shelley Smith (Mike); and his brothers, Bill and Bob. He is survived by: his spouse Mary Anne Dawes; his children, Rob Dawes, Holly Dawes, Dave Smeaton and Fred Smeaton (Laurie); and his siblings, Betty, Bryan and Brenda Dawes.
