He was predeceased by: his brother Grant; his parents, Grace MacRae and Joey MacRae; and also Ashley. He is survived by: his wife Diane Black; his child Meaghan; his sister Heather Shannon; his nieces and nephews, Darcy, Brooke and Darryl; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kya, Ty, Dax and Eugene.
