We are sad to announce that on June 11, 2024, at the age of 73, Shirley Ann Hughston (Brampton, Ontario), born in Oxford, Nova Scotia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Miller (Tom) and Annie Miller (Campbell); her former husband Murray L. LaFortune; her siblings, Sandra Samis and Sandy Miller; and her brothers-in-law, Verdon LaFortune (Bob), Ronald Powell and Ken Samis.

She is survived by: her husband Tim Hughston; her children, Brandy LaFortune, Kevin Hughston (Sian) and Murray D. L. LaFortune (Amanda); her mother-in-law Diane Hughston; her siblings, Brenda Powell, Cindy Walsh (John), Sheena Skidmore (Brian) and Thomas Miller; her siblings-in-law, Candy Serra (Rudy), Mellanie Romita, Lori LaFortune (Manny) and Duncan Hughston (Tracy); her grandchildren, Cheyenne LaFortune (Jay), Emily-Lyn LaFortune, Logan Limbeek (Maddy), Corey Limbeek and Dean LaFortune; her stepgranddaughters, Malia, Athena and Kiana; her great grandchild William; and her close friends, Inez Boss (Allan) and Twila Rudderham (Mike). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Bethell Hospice in Inglewood, Ontario would be greatly appreciated.
