For Ronald Howard is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

He was predeceased by: his brother Wayne Kopas. He is survived by: his wife Heather (Rand); his sons, Paul (Lucy) and Steven (Kristin); and his grandchildren, Ethan, Leah, Logan and Carson.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Brampton Funeral Home and Cemetery (10061 Chinguacousy Rd, Brampton, ON L7A0H6). A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Brampton Funeral Home & Cemetery (10061 Chinguacousy Rd, Brampton, ON L7A0H6). A burial will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.

In Lieu of Flowers memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Alzheimer's Society or the Ontario SPCA (the link for these are on this website).

“Celebrating the life and spirit of such a wonderful person. I’ll always remember how open, welcoming, and inclusive Ron is. Every fall at Canadian Technical meetings, I’d wish him a happy birthday and name his age—he finally asked how I knew. I cheekily told him he’s just a month younger than my dad. As coaches, we’re often called Baton Moms. Ron is definitely a Baton Dad—and a great one at that. His energy will always continue to inspire. Much love to the family.”
