She was predeceased by: her former husband Jeff Charles; her husband Julius Hegyi; her parents, Harold Johnston and May Johnston; and her brothers, Robert (Zil), William (Agnes) and Donald (Rose).
She is survived by: her children, Deb Haney (Mark) and Michael Charles; her grandchildren, Wade Haney (Leslie), Kevin Haney (Erin), Sean Charles, Emily and Lyndsay Charles; and her stepsons, Sandy, Daryl and Michael Hegyi.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Brampton Funeral Home & Cemetery (10061 Chinguacousy Rd, Brampton, ON L7A0H6). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 1:45 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Peggy's memory.
