With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lorne Smith (Brampton, Ontario), born in Toronto, Ontario, who passed away on November 5, 2022 at the age of 47. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Diane Griffith-Smith; his uncles, Joe Griffith, Rick Robinson and Len Herbert; and his aunt Fay Smith.

He is survived by: his child Ainslie; his wife Shannon Smith (Gaskell); his son Sam; his father Don; his stepmother Deb Smith (Creemore); his brothers, Fraser (Toronto) and Steven Pilon (Milton); his parents-in-law, Tom and Agnes Gaskell (Cape Breton); his brother-in-law TJ Gaskell (Cape Breton); his nephews, Tommy and Noah; his niece Sadie; and his aunts and uncles, Mac Smith, Tom (Cathy), Ray Griffith (Eileen), Marianne Herbert, Maureen Robinson and Caryl Phillips.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Melanoma Network of Canada, or the Knights Table Food Bank in Brampton.
