She was predeceased by: her parents, Estha Rosaline and Stephen Gabriel; and her brothers, Ronald and Kenneth (Maureen). She is survived by: her son Philip; her grandchildren, Patrick, Nathan, Alannah, Stavros, Seamus, Marisa and Shawna; her stepgrandchildren, Karter and Sawyer; her siblings, Maureen, Jean (Stephen), Brenda (Decio) and Dennis; and also, Albert Ricardo Nascimento, Nicole (Mark) and Francesca (Lee).
In lieu of flowers, the family graciously requests that donations be made in memory of Joan to Alzheimer's Association that resonates with Joan's spirit of compassion and care.
