She was predeceased by: her husband Ted Benson; her parents, Howard Smith and Jean Smith; and her brother Wilfred Smith of Winnipeg. She is survived by: her children, Valerie (Jim Steele) of Brampton and Kathleen of Collingwood; and her grandchildren, Kyle (Kristin), Carly, Jason Rindinella, Steven McIntyre and Kristen McIntyre. She is also survived by her siblings in Winnipeg Howard (Gwen) Smith, Sadie Owen, Violet Buzan, Morris (Diane) Smith and Walter (Joan) Smith as well as many nieces, nephews.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Arthritis Society or a charity of choice would be greatly appreciated by her family.
