He was predeceased by: his wife Sally; and his brother Ralph. He is survived by: his children, Russell (Chris), Cindy and Richard "Rick" (Joan); his grandchildren, Neil, Adam, Jennifer, Corey, Brody and Tasha; his great grandchildren, Jaxon, Landyn, Allie and Chase; and his sister Ruby. He is also survived by "PaPa", "Grandpa", and "Pops".
