She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius Situge De Silva and Kamalam Rockwood; her brother Ajith De Silva; and her former husband Arasalingam Arasakrishnan. She is survived by: her children, Andy Arasakrishnan (Jo Anne), Krish Arasakrishnan (Patricia) and Dilruha Anderson (Gordon); her grandchildren, Sarah, Nathan Arasakrishnan, Alexander, Ethan, Ewan Anderson and Brenden O'Hearn (Laura); and the father of her children Arasalingam Arasakrishnan.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Brampton Funeral Home & Cemetery (10061 Chinguacousy Rd, Brampton, ON L7A0H6). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location.
