He is survived by: his mother Maria (Gloria Amaral); his siblings, Fatima Couto (Paul), Liborio Amaral and Angie Resendes (Joe); his nephews, Jonathan (Charlotte), Christopher (Kristina), Nicholas (Rachel), Jacob (Nicole) and James; his niece Anna (Mani); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Liam, Owen, Matteo, Ethan, Amelia, Luca and Marco.

In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate donations to Sharelife or Canadian Food for Children.
