She was predeceased by: her husband James Alexander Howitt; and her children, Heather (late Noel), Jim (Karen) and Elsie (Gary). She is survived by: her daughter Agnes; her grandchildren, Jamie (Paulo), Jason (Michelle), Nicolas, Christopher, Sheldon (Amanda), Jessica and Taylor; and her great grandchildren, Kaylie, Jordan, Juliana, Mason, Ellie and Audrey.
