She was predeceased by: her daughter Marlene Sedore (late Dave); and her siblings, George Adams and Jessie Adams. She is survived by: her children, George Henderson (Colleen), Sharon Cunningham (Brian), Karen Jelly (Roger) and Darrin Grey; her grandchildren, Don, Randy, David, Rick, Bryan Sedore, Lynn Henderson, Keith, Kevin Henderson, Shannon and Alan Azzopardi; and her siblings, Ruth Marcussen, Gord Adams and Barbara Lawr. She is also survived by her 18 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In Violet's memory, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
