He was predeceased by: his son Joseph Matos; and his wife Herminia. He is survived by: his children, Tony Matos (Mary), Maria Mete (John) and Elizabeth Cabral (late Paulo Jorge); his grandchildren, Anthony, Joshua, Daniel, Jesse, Sara, Brianna and Hailey; his great grandchild Josie; his sister Leonilde; and his friend São Jorge.
