He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Arminda; and his children, Isaura Da Silva (Carlos), John Balugas (Lucy), Maria Cruz (Jose) and Luisa Coquim (Paulo).

Visitation was held on Monday, September 16th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Skwarchuk Funeral Home (30 Simcoe Rd, Bradford West Gwillimbury, ON L3Z2A9). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, September 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Japan Church (167 Essa St, Bradford, ON L3Z2V3).
