He was predeceased by: his wife Violet Magdy; his daughter Donna Schnurr (Paul) of Huntsville; his son-in-law Mike Brown; and his siblings, Stan, Beth and Ed.

He is survived by: his children, Michael (Judy) of Mississauga, Debra Magdy of Bracebridge, Darlene (Bruce DaCosta) of Huntsville, Denise Fisher (Ross) of Huntsville and Tracy Brown (Ian Melvin) of Huntsville; his grandchildren, Jessica, Kirk, Ashley, Kandis, Andrew, Preslee and Jacob; and his siblings, Agnes, Fran and Wally.

Donations in Edwin's memory may be made to The Pines long term care home or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
