He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Etheleyn Coates and Glen Coates; his former wife Joan; his wife Helen; his daughters, Julie Denyes (Rick) of Hamilton, Sherri Breuker (Steve) of Bracebridge and Susie Hamley (Morgan) of Thornton; his stepchildren, Tammy Brazeau of Trenton and Jon Silcox (Jess) of Blenheim; his grandchildren, Tyler, Chad, Samantha, Elizabeth, Caleb (Jona), Jake (Kendra), Michayla, Jaxon, Russel, Rowan, Sydney, Skylar, Harris, Lucas, Abigail and Octavia; his sister Janice Boyes; his brother-in-law Jim; and his aunt Marion Boothby.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to the South Muskoka Hospital Foundation or to Pinegrove Fellowship Church would be appreciated by Don's family.
