She was predeceased by: her brother Fred Koning. She is survived by: her children, Shawnna Burgess (Paul Nicholson) and Christina Burgess (Ryan Jackman); her sisters, Marianne Avery, Diane Koning (Dennis) and Joyce Koning; and her aunt Sue (Joanne). She is also survived by her nieces and nephews as well as extended family.
