He is survived by: his wife Joan; his sons, Steven (Jennifer) and Scott (Susan); his granddaughters, Callie, Kira and Elizabeth; and his siblings, Sherman (Valerie), Victor (Trish), Ted of Morristown, NS and Connie (George Connors).

In lieu of flowers donations in Wendell's memory can be made to the Kidney Foundation and Heritage Livestock Canada.
